Dirjournal review

Dirjournal is extraordinary new and still, because of the great marketing efforts of Hassan, this directory managed to become one of the best I have seen. That is why I decided to review this site (keep in mind I am only reviewing the cream of directories on allphpld).

There are a few reasons why I love this directory.

First, the design. I am usually attracted by sites that spin in the “web 2 feel” circle. Although Dirjournal hasn’t got what it takes to get there, its design is pleasant, with warm colors that confort the eye of any websurfer. I guess WDD deserves credit for this performance.

Dirjournal has great pr. My web directory is submitted to a category with good listings. My link detail page is pr3:

Dirjournal has seo friendly pages, offers deep links to 3 of the most important pages of my site and quantcast statistics.

The prices are a little high, but at the time I submitted my site, I payed a lot less for a permanent standard listing.

I don’t really get the difference between the blog and the guides section. The blog posts are a few, they could easily be integrated within the guides section. Still the guides are very nice. A lot of information and fresh content almost every month.

Just a few errors. One can be seen on this page:

I hope the owner sees this and fix it soon.

Bad points: The blog should be updated often, more original things should be added, a little pricey, a few errors.
