stpt.com review

Starting Point is an old paid directory (established in 1995) with an inspiring name.

Fee is $99, a little discouraging.

After closely looking at this directory I found out the following:

- it has a simple structure, not to many categories (as Dirjournal i.e.).

- neat design, very simple, loads great.

- medium pr spread uniformly on all category pages.

- like Aviva, has no pages in categories. All listings are on the same page. That means just a few listings, which makes the review process highly selective.

I have submitted but I am pretty sure it probably would worth it. I just don’t have the right site for it.  This directory needs small sites that perform at $500-600/mo and need the quality backlink this resource offers. For those interested in only the green bar, it used to have good pr, but it seems things turned not so well for STPT which has at the moment grade 4 from bigG.

Good points: Has authority, traffic and history. Good quality resource.

Bad points: small PR, not too marketed.

Recommendations: Good investment for small-medium businesses.
